Bio

Rick has been working as a First Assistant Director since 1998.

He grew up in Canada. Graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Arts. His career started in television as a floor manager, then shifted into film by undertaking the Directors Guild of Canada’s Assistant Director’s Training Course.

Since this time, Rick has worked in the film/television industry in Canada, the UK, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. He is a thoughtful communicator, utilizing creative scheduling strategies with innovative thinking to find solutions to ensure achievable filming results. Rick provides unbiased advice to Producers and Directors on how to achieve creative expectations within the confines of the budget.
